The 4th Annual Christmas Celebration in the Village of Powhatan Point, OH

The Village of Powhatan Point, Ohio will kick off the Holiday Season once again with a celebration for the whole family on Saturday, November 14th, 2009 beginning at 8am. The event includes Food, Live Entertainment, a Holiday Parade, and of course Santa himself! In fact Old Saint Nick will kick things off with a Pancake breakfast at the Masonic Hall sponsored by the Powhatan Captina OES.

Local businesses, churches and organizations will be providing a health fair, soup sales, bake sales, specials, door prizes, refreshments and a whole lot more! There will be lots of good food and talented crafters throughout the village.

The Powhatan VFD & EMS parade starts at 6:30pm. This year’s Grand Marshalls are the villages oldest American Veterans. Trophies will be awarded following the parade at the elementary school. The American Legion will be winding up the day with a “Snowball Dance” and Riverside Restaurant with karaoke.

Programs, maps and food menus will be provided at participating businesses and key locations throughout the village that day. The CITV Committee welcomes everyone and encourages all to join in on the fun.

The guaranteed $500.00 raffle drawing will be held at 4 o’clock in the live music area and line-up for the parade is at 5:30pm at Fras’s Auto on Main Street.

A house decorating contest will be held on November 12th with prizes of $25.00 going to the top five winners. Anyone wishing to participate must register by November the 11th and can do so by emailing citvpowhatan@yahoo.com, or by calling 740-795-5894 or 740-795-4673 for forms and information.
